The Princeton Review has named the ̽Ƶ to its annual “” list for 2024, the fourth straight year the university has been included in the Midwest category.
The Princeton Review, a leading national education services company, released its annual “2024 Best Colleges: Region by Region” list on Aug. 15 that includes 630 colleges in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, South, Southwest, West and international zones. The website calls the schools listed “academically outstanding and well worth consideration in your college search.”
On the list of 150 colleges in the Midwest, UW-̽Ƶ Claire is one of four public universities from the state and one of just five public institutions among the 24 named from Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The list is entirely based on feedback from current students about their colleges and college experiences.
The website states that Blugold students call UW-̽Ƶ Claire “a close-knit” campus with “a million opportunities.” Students noted the university has a wide variety of study abroad programs and “astounding graduate-level research” opportunities available to undergraduates.
Other student comments cited on the website include:
“My professors have all been passionate about what they are teaching, which really motivates me to want to learn and pay attention.”
“It’s not a huge school so people know each other and acknowledge one another.”
“It truly feels like a private school setting.”
“It’s easy for people to find their own little niche here at UWEC.”
