Fostering Academic Excellence

Intro

As health care continues to evolve, our faculty and staff lead innovative, practice-informed nursing education that prepares students for the future of the profession. By staying current in teaching methods, simulation, and clinical technologies, faculty create engaging learning environments that support student success in a diverse, global health care system.

Through strong partnerships with higher education, health care organizations, and state agencies, we strengthen curriculum, expand experiential learning, and advance education that improves health and health care.

As a Technical Integration Engineer at University of Wisconsin–̽Ƶ Claire, I specialize in designing and implementing immersive simulation experiences that enhance nursing education and clinical preparedness. I lead the development of innovative virtual and simulation-based learning environments, creating custom scenarios that are fully integrated into curriculum and tailored to meet faculty and student needs.

As the sole certified immersive simulation developer through Laerdal in my role, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and instructional design to bridge emerging technology with real-world clinical application. My work supports interdisciplinary collaboration, faculty-driven research, and hands-on learning initiatives, including contributions to comparative studies on traditional and immersive simulation methods.

I am also responsible for managing key educational platforms, supporting system integrations, and leading technical troubleshooting and optimization efforts across simulation environments. Through this work, I aim to advance experiential learning and expand the role of immersive technology in healthcare education.
